The address, and why it matters

The most common worry we hear before a booking is simple: is it really near the beach? Plenty of listings say “beach area” and mean a drive, a highway crossing or a block you would rather not walk at night. So here is the plain version. Pompano Breeze is at 3217 NE 9th St, Pompano Beach, FL 33062. From our front walkway to the sand is about a 2-minute walk. You do not need the car to get there.

Put the address into any map app before you book. That is the honest test, and we would rather you check it than take our word for it. You will see a quiet residential street a short walk from the Atlantic.

What the 2-minute walk looks like

You step out of the courtyard, walk down the street and follow the beach access path through the dune. There is a rinse shower at the path for sandy feet on the way back. Beach towels and chairs are available on site, so most guests walk down with a chair under one arm and a towel over the shoulder, and that is the whole trip.

Pompano Beach in a few lines

Pompano Beach is a Broward County city between Fort Lauderdale to the south and Deerfield Beach and Boca Raton to the north. The city counts about three miles of shoreline, with restored dunes, shaded playgrounds and the rebuilt Fisher Family Pier near Atlantic Boulevard. It is a quieter beach town than its southern neighbor. Families come for the calm water days and the pier. Snowbirds come for the long winter season, the fishing and the fact that a grocery run does not take an hour.

Getting here

Most guests fly into Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The drive north is about 17 miles, most of it on I-95, then east on Atlantic Boulevard toward the ocean. Our FLL airport to Pompano Beach guide covers the routes, rideshare pickup and the train option.

Day trips without moving hotels

Staying in Pompano puts you in the middle of the coast. Fort Lauderdale beach is about 8 miles south. Deerfield Beach is about 6 miles north, and downtown Boca Raton is about 10 miles north. Lighthouse Point is the next city up, a short drive away. You can see all of it and still come home to the same courtyard pool at night.

Driving distances are approximate road miles from central Pompano Beach. Traffic on I-95 and Federal Highway varies a lot by time of day and season, so check a map app before you go.

Who this location suits

Families like it because the beach day starts without loading the car. Nap time happens back in the suite, the pool fills the late afternoon, and the sand is close enough that a parent can run back for sunscreen. Snowbirds like it for a different reason. A winter here is about routine, and a 2-minute walk turns the beach into part of the daily routine instead of an outing.

It also suits anyone who wants quiet. We are a small building on a residential street, not a hotel strip, and our guests come here to rest. If you want nightlife every night, Fort Lauderdale is a short drive south. If you want to hear the palms at night, you are in the right place.

Where you will sleep

We are one boutique building of studios and suites around a private courtyard pool. Studios sleep 2 to 3 and have a kitchenette. Suites sleep 4 to 5, with a bedroom, a living room and a kitchen. Check-in is at 4 PM, check-out is at 10 AM, and there is a 2-night minimum.
